Back for 2026

Think you’ve got what it takes to perform at The Long Road? Our Homegrown Talent Contest is back for 2026, giving emerging artists the opportunity to showcase their music in front of industry professionals and a live festival audience.

Hosted by Janet Devlin, the competition will take place on Sunday at The Hitching Post, where shortlisted finalists will perform live for our panel of expert judges.

Whether you’re a solo artist, duo or band, we’re looking for exciting new voices ready to become part of The Long Road community.

Applications open: Thursday 2nd July 2026

Applications close: 11:59pm on Sunday 19th July 2026

Successful applicants will be contacted during the week commencing Monday 27th July 2026 using the contact details provided. If we’re unable to reach you, your place may be offered to another artist.

What's Up For Grabs

The winner of the Homegrown Talent Contest will receive:

🎤 A performance slot at The Long Road 2027
🏆 One year’s CMA Membership*
🎶 A performance slot at the Snakefarm Label Showcase
✍️ A PR consultation with WMA

*Membership tier will be determined based on the artist’s eligibility and membership application, with opportunities available across the CMA’s membership categories.
