Hello old friend,
As we pack up another Long Road, we want to say thank you. It’s always hard to find the words at the end of a weekend like this, but we’ll start with the simplest ones.
Thank you for being there.
Thank you for spending your bank holiday weekend with us, and for making this little corner of the world feel like a slice of home for a few days.
The team and I spend all year building a place where people can come together through a shared love of music, discover something new, reconnect with old friends, and leave feeling just a little fuller than when they arrived.
But a festival isn’t built by stages, lights or fields. It’s built by people.
It’s built by couples who form & cement their relationships (congratulations to Lyall and Emma on your engagement!), the ones who make the trip together every year (David and Daniel driving all the way from Madrid on their Longest Road!), and the ones who come alone but leave having found their tribe. Families creating new traditions. Artists sharing their songs. The crew working behind the scenes. The volunteers, traders, partners and everyone who brings their own piece of heart to The Long Road. It’s what carries us through the rain and the storms to those magical moments when the sun breaks through.
This festival is built with a lot of heart, and seeing so many of you embrace it with the same spirit means more than you know.
You are what makes The Long Road worth travelling and we can’t wait to see you next year.
We will be back in Stanford Hall 26-29th August 2027.
More details to come tomorrow, our team might take the night off now!
Until then, safe travels home.
