Dan Byrne swept in off the Mersey and announced himself as a solo artist in 2023 with his debut EP Beginnings. His powerhouse, soul-inflected vocal and accessible songcraft quickly marked him out as an artist on the rise, blending contemporary edge with classic influence. Powerful, honest and emotive, his music sits somewhere between widescreen rock and intimate storytelling — defined by a rare mix of intensity and vulnerability.
In just two years, Byrne has toured the UK, played standout festival sets, and earned strong support from Planet Rock, with his first four singles spending an impressive 25 weeks on the playlist. That momentum now builds towards his long-awaited debut album This Is Where The Show Begins, arriving Spring 2026.
Before his solo career, Dan fronted Liverpool rock band Revival Black, whose second album reached No. 2 in the UK Rock Chart. Shortly after that success, he made the decision to leave and pursue his own artistic vision — a move driven by a desire for full creative control and a broader musical palette.
That shift saw Byrne embrace influences beyond rock, drawing on pop, R&B and cinematic soundscapes while keeping melody at the core. This evolution was clear on Beginnings, from the atmospheric sweep of “Death of Me” to the hook-driven energy of “Hard to Breathe” and “Like Animals”, and the emotional weight of “Easier”.
Now, with This Is Where The Show Begins, Byrne pushes further. The album balances swagger and sensitivity, from the explosive riffs of “Saviour” and “She’s the Devil” to the gospel-tinged “Praise Hell” and reflective closer “Home”. It’s a bold, genre-blurring statement anchored by Byrne’s distinctive voice.
Bursting with ambition, emotion and scale, this is a defining moment for Dan Byrne — and potentially just the beginning of something much bigger.
